We are so excited about these bags, (first of all because they are beautiful, the right size, strong, washable, biodegradable, and made from DLD scrap fabric), BUT.... mostly because they are being made by the women involved in "The Sewing Project" (a program for newcomers to Canada) taking place at the South Asian Women's Centre right here in our neighbourhood in downtown Toronto.
Dear Lil' Devas is happy to be able to support and participate in this project, as it accomplishes something that is very dear to our own hearts - it provides an interactive environment for immigrant women where the focus is on improving and honing English language skills and gaining Canadian experience.
