Bamboo fabric has hypoallergenic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, which make it ideal for exercise wear. However, all bamboo fabric is not created equally. We searched the world over and found the bamboo fabric that meets our environmental, ethical, and quality expectations.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Bamboo is a forestry product, so the natural eco-system stays in place and there is no need for pesticides, herbicides, fertilizer, tilling or replanting. There are no genetically modified strains of bamboo.

ECO AND WORKER FRIENDLY
All facilities where our fabric is produced meet Oeko-Tex and ISO 14001 standards. This assures us that our suppliers meet the highest international standards for the protection of workers and the environment.

THE MAKING OF BAMBOO FABRIC
BAMBOO YARN
Our bamboo yarn is made from the cellulose of bamboo grasses using a clean environmentally friendly process. High modulus yarn - could be called the Pima Cotton of bamboo - offers excellent luster, softness and durability.

FINISHING PROCESS
Fabric is knitted and dyed in Canada.

LOW IMPACT DYEING
Our unique single jet-dyeing process has been developed to have the lowest environmental impact possible. The fabric is scoured using hot water only, then dyed without the use of solvents, chlorine, optical brightening chemicals or any other toxic chemicals. The process uses small quantities of environmentally friendly dyes free of heavy metals and other environmental toxins.
